There is very little time left until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, so our company is stepping up the training of drivers to meet English-speaking tourists.
Many of our drivers are fluent in English, but the management of the Tokyo Taxi Company believes that now is the right time to improve their level.
At the Tokyo Haneda Airport International Terminal, only drivers with at least intermediate English can pick up passengers. This served as an incentive for non-English speaking drivers to attend foreign language courses.
“We are seeing a surge in the number of foreign customers and I feel like there is a lot of chance,” said one of the drivers. – I will definitely get a certificate after completing a high level course.
Our company makes every effort to ensure that foreign visitors can comfortably and safely use our taxi services without language problems, as if they were in their countries.
